Orange – this is very widespread and old citrus plant. It was probably begun to cultivate about 4.000 years B.C. in South-East Asia. In China orange trees was rearing before 220 years B.C. First country which begun rear oranges after China is Egypt. From Egypt this fruits spread in North Africa and Mediterranean Sea countries.

Egypt is exactly the country which showed to first oranges fruits to Europe. By French, English and many other languages this fruit is “Orange”, this name came from Arabic word “Narangi” which mean “Golden”.

Oranges are very photo-philous, they like direct sunbeam, especially in the period of fruits ripening. At the enough body of heat and light they are becoming to be sweet. Egypt, due to the climatic terms, is the perfect country for rearing this fruits.


Egypt is exporting oranges to many countries of the World. Due to perfect weather plantations of Egypt never use any chemical additions, that’s why all products are ecologically clean, what is confirmed by Certificates of International status.
